I want to sell my PC - but I need advice on a selling price before I post it - I have not kept up with PC component prices and don't know what a reasonable price for my rig is. Here is the specs:

Intel Quad Core Q6600 running on a ASUS P5B Motherboard
XFX 8800 GTX
2 Gig RAM - OCZ 800Mhz
640 Gig SATA - Seagate HDD (160Gig x 4)
BenQ DVD R\RW
CoolerMaster Praetorian Case
Thermaltake 600 Watt PSU
Thermalright Ultra90 CPU Cooler

The system is running perfectly and all components is in a 100% working condition - My last 3dMark06 score was 13740

Reason for Selling: wanna get me-self a laptop

I don't want to sell the parts separately.

Thanks:cool:

"I have not kept up with PC component prices " <--- When did u buy this rig??

That system cannot be very old, most of those components like the CPU and Graphics card was released within' the last year.

i would estimate a 2nd hand value of around R6000-R7000 +-

I would agree but you will do much better selling the parts separately. You will probably find that you sell all the parts this way.

Bought it from varouis on-line stores and ZAPS in Randburg - oldest component is the 8800GTX which I bought in November 2006

ye, its still a very good system. Better than whot most gamers use actually.

My advice - throw it on the Prophecy forums. With individual prices. Once you have buyers for ALL the parts, sell it. I am sure you will shift it that way. :)

I would not pay R7000 for an entire 2nd hand system...but maybe you will be lucky ;)

why you selling such a sweet system?

your going to next to nothing for it when you could have a sweet system :)

if you havin money troubles i say put it in for 8k and see who bites

Man that is a really good system.

I think R6000 is too low for that system.

Considering the psu, case and gfx - you should be looking for around R7000.

Just remember thought the longer you keep it the more you lose - so it might be prudent to let it go for a price acceptable to you.

Nice PC!! I recently bought me a AMD Gamer PC.got lotsa quotes :-) . So I think R7500 would be a good listing price but if you desperate and need to sell it fast just say you are negotiable, and have your lowest acceptable price at hand. I dont think you should sell it less than R6000 though. Its worst more, but then again buying a 2nd hand pc for that price is much.
