Say if I play one hour, how much cap will it use? also can it work on a 386kb line

It should work fine on a 384k. The issue isn't really the width of the pipe (i.e. the speed of your line), but rather your ISP. Obviously WoW will run on lower latency with an unshaped account.

Basically, the amount of bandwidth you use will be based on where in Azeroth you are. Orgrimmar and other large cities will use far more bandwidth than if you were out questing in somewhere like The Barrens. I'm not sure exactly how much bandwidth you would use per hour (hopefully someone else could answer that one), but it isn't too much...

WoW starts generating alot of traffic when you start the raiding. Not only wow but ventrillo/TS with WoW adds up to about 170 - 200MB a night, when you raid from 19:30 - 23:30/0:00.

Worth every penny though :)

My avg. is about 5 MB per hour . WoW got built in Voice now too, i use when in a guild group, haven't determined the usage of that yet though.

Overall WoW uses very little bandwidth [less than browsing even] .

You however need to count the patches too, sometimes it downloads in the background and can be sizeable [latest patch was 300MB]

Battlegrounds can chew quite a bit of cap, but as stated above, it depends where u are in azeroth...
