i would like to know how much ppl pay for there internet, which includes line rental, ISP if u pay for contacts ..... etc

i have 384 k and i pay R420 from telkom
and openweb R130 for local only

R550

using telkoms old prices

whatever the cost of do3 is (R554). plus 30GB local only from Openweb (R130). I'll add the numbers at some time (R684). Plus line rental of R112 (R796).

then probably every 3 months I buy 3GB prepaid. and i also have a WA 10GB local account at R190 which probably gets topped up around every 2/3 months.

PsyClown - firstly dont get telkom to install your DSL service, just let them put in the telephone line, +- 21 days..
Then get an ISP such as mweb or webafrica, axxess or the likes to install the DSL, this usually speeds up installation times, maybe to within 2 weeks of applying for it.
Thats the best you can do, remember to pay telkom the least amount of money possible, the less the better!

or get yourself a Gmail account, notify all your contacts, then phase out the ISP account over 2 months. It's only painful once and then you'll never be bound to an ISP ever again
