How much do you pay for rent?

How would you know the amount paid to the realtor? And if he had a deposit on its purchase price?

The neigbour knows the amount the previous landlord sold for (hence the price my landlord paid). It was paid cash, it's an old lady.

The amount paid to the realtor for finding tenants (which is one month rent), not for the sale.

Yep. Hence my post above (256). But he already farked up by saying he got it from the "neighbors" :)

And this from a supposed lawyer...

Edit: need to find the thread, but he is also paying rent somewhere else because his "SO" refuses to move out.

The rent somewhere else starts next week because I'm moving out next week, I found the new flat today (see the Things that please you thread and in this thread I said I'm downsizing because I go from 2 with 2 dogs to 1 with 1 dog).

I know Windeed and don't have this much interest in the price, I didn't ask the neighbour, we were braaing and started chatting and he started speaking of the flat's prices. Another unit (same surface) actually sold to a price close to mine's last year and there is another one listed in Property24 currently.

The ROI would anyway be between 5 and 7%, not higher.

Bought a house in 2002 long before the housing bubble, minimum bond payment is R5k, currently renting it out for R20k.

An old lady told you the price? That's factual, indeed.

So now it's a braai chat?

So, from a precise 5.4%, with a bit of questioning it has now gone to, "between 5 and 7%, not higher".

Based on the information of the neighbour 5.4%.

Based on the listed price of the flat for sale right now 5.1% or so.

Based on another one that sold for quite cheap, closer to 7%.

Happy? Anyway it's a crap return and does not warrant investing at all.

So now it's a braai chat?

Lol comes in too hot and now can only pick up useless stompies

Reverts to nit picking. :crylaugh:

The landlord is an old lady.

The neighbor who is a guy told me during a braai chat.

You want the address to bring a forensic expert to valuate it too?

No. Not happy at all. Nothing you provide is factual at all. You are taking about things that might have sold; or are hearsay prices. You have no idea what the real rentals were. And what a neigbour said

You rarely have anything to add other than a swoop in with an emoji. Forgive me if I think your input is less than useless.

Yes, we established all of the above. Still nothing that would stand in terms of making investment decisions...

Send a forensic expert, you’re more than welcome, it seems important for you.

I’ve been kind enough to justify myself to satisfy your non-sense but even if I had a copy of the transfer documents, it wouldn’t be enough for you.

My nonsense? You the one making claims dude, not me. But, care to link me to that post of yours where you said your SO was refusing to move out of your abode?

Then don’t believe me, it’s not going to change my life.

I confirmed this, it’s probably in the things that irritate you thread. What’s the issue with that statement?

Anyway, brought to MyBB by Splinter the piece of sch*t who couldn't believe I had cancer.

Sorry, just so we clear now - you "had" cancer? So, you now recovered and all?

Go dig my posts, it's mentioned in some of them. You don't believe me anyway...

No. All the posts I have seen from you is about your cancer and all your trips to hospital and and all your medication and bla bla bla.

So. You had cancer. Congrats on your recovery.

Holy ****, Splinter could you kindly furk out of my thread unless you’ll mention your rental amounts.

Talk about a derail of note
