They forgot that WhatsApp syncs all of your contacts (including those not on WhatsApp) every time you start it and every hour thereafter.
For 100 contacts this will be about 6MB a month.
 
I am sure the Facebook and Messenger apps use less than mentioned - they run in the background and pick up notifications. The Cisco source mentioned Facebook but didn't specify on a mobile, which makes all the difference

nah you are doing it wrong.
facebook enter settings. select account settings >> decativate account.

Boom life simpler.


but on a side note, do not get the facebook app. if you are going to be using the depression tool, at least use it in browser, then it does not force you to download facebook messanger just to read messages in the app.
