How much to sell old PC for...

Ok, so Macs I know but as previously confessed, PCs leave me clueless. How much would be a fair price for the following:

Pentium 4 2.8ghz
2GB RAM
CD-ROM (IDE)
80 GB HD (IDE)
 
Thanks for the input guys. As I suspected, this thing came loaded with animals, two of each, on an ark. Like I said, my PC / Windows knowledge is a little thin when it comes to things like this. My reason for asking of course is what gdiza said. Virtualising Ubuntu on my mac is all very fine and well but it fails to recognise those USB Modems and therefore I have no serial ports for these. By setting up this old box with Ubuntu, I can try and port something like mAcme to Linux (please, no promises yet - I will try).

Now I know how much to offer for it - R300 you say is fair? Excellent...
 
well with Ubuntu it really is very easy to get up and running, and there are hardly any drivers that it does not install already, used that and fedora, and i like.

And right you are. Installed on an old 20GB HD (I pulled out the 80, for now) and ubuntu is MUCH snappier than that XP was. I may just keep this thing running a little longer than I intended...

ANY new OS will be faster than ANY same version- might give you that snappy feel initially. Having said that, ubuntu will be quicker for longer :) Enjoy. (torrent box mebbee??)
