How often do you replace your mattress?

Most people dont buy beds rated for their weight, they weigh 100kg and buy beds with 80kg weight limit, which leads to the lifespan of the mattress being shortened. Since I am 100kg, I always asked for mattresses which rated a 120kg and up.

No issues with the current mattress, we bought in 2018, replacing our bed bought in 2007.

Mines due for a replacement, it's about 10-12 years old.

You dont know my height? My adult weight since my 20s range from 96 to 100, the one time I went down to 88-90kgs (yes I was running), everyone ask me if I was sick. Apparently, I look weird with a big head and skinny body.

Height?

This thread reminds me of the time I was booked into a Protea Hotel where the bed was as hard as the floor. I slept okay though.

I am more interested in the preference of firmness and at which point you turn your mattress if it is to be turned?
