Excuse me if this question was posed before, but I am curious to find out how often you guys upgrade your PC.

For me I is about every 2 years for the whole system. (To within what my budget will allow)

Upgrade=
1. ReplaceMobo
2. Replace GFX card
3. Add HDD
3. Add RAM

Whenever I can afford too... I recently did a upgrade where I bought a new case, motherboard, cpu, memory, graphics card.

Expensive upgrade that!

Whenever something new and worth it comes out, only things not been changed multiple times on my pc in the last year are the ram and psu :)

Every two generations of gfx cards (~2-3 years)
I then set a target for ~10K (but usually end up spending closer to 12K)

I upgrade my pc every 2 years and Laptop every 3 years. This is beside adding RAM and HDD drives those get added as I run out of space.

GFX every year since I started buying the high end cards more depending on how long nvidia takes to drop the next bomb.

Ram and h/d's once a year depending if I need more of each.

Mobo, cpu and case every two years. Then it depends whether I want to keep some of my old stuff whether it's a full system upgrade or just replacing these item.

I look at about every 6-12months. Depending on finances of course. In that way, I also know what the guys have tried and tested so far, esp an OS

I do a complete upgrade every six months....mmmm
and here I thought I was a loony..I upgrade my pc every second month or so, but I don't upgrade everything, last month I bought 22" lcd + pricey logitech keyboard&mouse + E6850 *cough* I'm broke*cough*, before that RAM + MOBO, the month before that 8600 GT:o:sick: + 400GB HDD..and I cant remember what I bought before that..my HTC Touch [cash purchase, left me broke like a beggar]..er..iBurst modem..er...Radeon X1300...etc

What I'm saying here is I have a problem. I need help. As soon as I realised my 8600 GT doesn't have the minerals I wanted to buy a Gigabyte 8800 GT, without getting a buyer for my 8600 GT...:(

Thanks for listening.

normally about once a year but i think im gonna stop now for the next year or 2 ;)
