How safe is 1time?

Just wanna say...my gut is telling me it is not going to end will for 1Time. People are now going to be worried about if they buy a ticket now will the airline still exist by the time they need to depart and if not will they get their money back and then they will think of Velvet Sky and then decide to go with one of the other carriers rather. This will hasten the decline and BANG! They dead. I hope I am wrong...but I think that is what is going to happen.

That would be the logical thing to do. I know I would not buy a 1time ticket at the moment.

Also....I know this is not exactly the same...but it does very much remind me of Nationwide. Suddenly had a spurt of technical issues. BANG! They dead!

Flying 1Time JNB to GRJ tomorrow. I hope.

Always had a marve flight with them, mebbe two dozen times. Every flight has 5 minutes thinking about the MD-80's elevator jackscrew, with images of that Air Alaska failure...

I certainly hope that 1Time can survive, prices already started edging up after Velvet Sky disappeared.

But they do need to renew their fleet, although that seems unlikely with their financial state.

The days of reasonably priced airfares may be over.

When I read the topic I though to myself... "Doesn't this belong in the health part of this forum?" :D

a plane is a plane and overhaul means good as new, except for motor mechanics there are strict regulations to ensure maintenance so they cant bypass. i just hate that the seats are so close had a guy smell like onions next to me..i almost died if it wasnt for the bubble gum in my pocket.:wtf:

I would not risk buying a ticket with them as they are looking for "custodial management" and if that doesn't pan out they are bang.

I flew with them this week.
I have no issues with short term flights.
