How to delete mail from the Nokia 6680

Ok so I tried the mail client on the Nokia 6680. Download the headers. Works fine. Now I want to clear the messages from the phone. No can do.

Option, Delete, Phone Only or Phone and Server, OK ... then it says "Message header will remain in phone memory". Aaarrrgggghhhh. STUPID PHONE!

So how do I delete these headers?

i think if i remember . first had to make sure messages were off mail server then delete off phone then do send and recieve with phone and then they disapeared. its an absouloute pain. thats why never check mail with phone. did it once and that was more than enough.

bio, I also noticed that, hence I am not using the 6680's e-mail features

Just f-ing great!

The mail client wouldn't connect anymore so I restarted thje phone and it wouldn't stating "phone startup failed. contact retailer". So Googleed advice indicated it needed to be formatted with the green-3-* combo and off course it erased the phones memory.

Gotta transfer my phone numbers from the old phone again. Thank god I kept it.

bio, I eventually found a use for Outlook; as a mobile contact sync system.

Every phone can sync with Outlook but often won't transfer contacts between phones. Nokia<->Nokia can be a real pain......

As I sync all my phones to Outlook, it does not matter which phone I use and enter a new number on, they all appear on the other phones as soon as I sync them. And Outlook acts as my contact backup.
