I've been capped on my TI account, and now I have a proxy with Int running on another PC..

I have Firefox setup to use this proxy, but I would like to exclude all local sites that will actually work on the Capped local TI account.

I know not all .co.za or .za.net sites are local, so how do I determine which are local and which aren't?

Thanks

well i cant exactly get into that site cos i am capped so would be a great help if someone can help me out

Its quite a long list, I can email it to you if you want but what do you want to do with it?

My favourite site for this kind of thing (blockacountry.com) reports SA's ip ranges as:

41.160.0.0/12
41.192.0.0/16
41.193.0.0/16
41.194.0.0/16
41.195.0.0/16
41.198.0.0/16
41.204.192.0/19
41.206.192.0/19
<snip>

I'll email it to you, if you want (PM me your email addy) because it's too long to post here.

what proxy are you usin and is there anyway to get past the cap cos **** was not working at getting myself capped now already

I have a squid (proxy server) setup on one of my Linux PCs, and that PC has a international connection I use in emergencies..

Thanks guys :)

Is there anyway to make all programs that I define use the same proxy excluding the SA ranges? At the moment I have each program I need set to use a proxy. But I guess I do only really need it for browsing.

You could use Proxifier, not sure if it has an option to exclude IP ranges though.

where can i get that on a local site and is there a windows alternative or something that i can use just for browsing dnt need to download anything just need browsing done till end of month

You can't get it on a local site, but it wouldn't be any use anyway if you don't have an international account or local proxy with international access to access.

where can i get a local proxy to access international sites and what is the monthly charges and for how much bandwidth?

Have a look at Openbrowse from Openweb, otherwise get a prepaid international account from WebAfrica, R70/GB.

i like the idea of openweb but how long it take for them to take the money from your account and how long b4 they activate your account?

I think if you pay by credit card its basically instant, I know WA is instant with a c/c.

so will have to do that on thursday when banks open again and then will have my account on friday or monday.... think i can survive till the 1st then
