Unfortunately my good man, the tank has to be dropped and drained, rinsed out completely.As far as damages, best case a new fuel filter is all you need, worst case is clogged injectors. Most of the time though just getting rid of the fuel in tank is enough. All the best. Garage should cover the cost, I know a similar thing happened to a friend of mine with an old Toyota and the garage covered the cost of repairs.So, yesterday I had an unfortunate incident of having diesel put into my petrol car. I would like to to know how to drain the fuel from the car and what damages are likely to have occured. The car is a Hyundai Getz, if that makes any difference.
