I don't necessarily agree with you. Being yourself is good don't get me wrong but would work better in an ideal world where women go out with you because you are you.
I could be wrong but these days (maybe its always been like that) women know what they are looking for in a guy just as guys do(in a girl that is). If you have that they go out with you, if not then not.
The problem is that often you meet people for too short a time to know all the good qualities they have so they focus on first impressions and some people are practically wall paper when you first meet them but once you get to know them you see that they are great.
So it boils down to with how much you match what they're looking for at first glance and then you have em(or not), the problem with not being urself is that you could be caught out and the relationship might be over. But as many times as not(i think) they realise that you actually have the qualities they like and stick with you.
As they say it might be the taste that brings you back for more but it's the sizzle that hooked you the first time..or something like that.
If they weren't pretending you guys would not have thought they are lesbians and maybe you'd be single now
