How to log a faulty cell tower.

the cell tower in my area goes totally dead after 2-3 hours after loads shedding.

Is this normal if not who can i contact.

Normal. I lose 3G on Telkom. It looks they shutdown unnecessary transmitters to save battery.

Not selfish.
With 3G at full power, battery lasts for 2-3 hours. When they immediately shutdown some transmitters, voice services should work 3 to 5 hours.

Well the MTN tower close to me actually got a strong battery by the looks of it. We get loadshedding for 4 hours and 30min on stage 2 and LTE still as fast and tower working as if nothing is wrong.

I guess @op would need to drive to the tower and take the site id and report that the battery is not lasting long when loadshedding is taking place. Doubt they will fix it unless it is completely broken. Maybe that tower just carries a lot of traffic causing the batteries to drain much faster?

I would imgaine that these operators have remote monitoring systems that would inform them when a tower isn't working.

However, the MTN tower in my area has been giving really bad performance for months now, and despite numerous requests the Coverage department still hasn't bothered to actually go and check it.
