How to remove Delta-Homes from your computer

I remember getting one of these Delta-something things as part of an install once. I have never made the mistake of just clicking "next" again.

Two MyBroadband employees recently had their browsers hijacked by Delta-homes (also known as Delta-search), which resulted in all Internet browsers’ homepages and search engine functionality changing.

And me...

/blames wife for that bloody click!

Pretty much used the same process to kill it. And it is a real bugger!!

Thanks for the guide.

Based on our experience and the multiple how-to guides online, this is the best way to remove Delta-homes from your Windows PC, and keep it off.

Just one question... where did it come from? Rogue website?

How about a guide to not getting infected in the first place?

Had to remove it a while back. Helluva a hassle.

Remember removing this from a laptop and a PC, belonging to friends of mine, a few months back...a bit of work to remove this nasty piece of ish...had a similar guide as well...

Read carefully when you install shareware, often they give you the default option to install the crapware alongside with them.

ps had this shiite as well. Acronis image restore ftw. :p

Hmm, I've never had an issue like this before, but the first thing that comes to mind in order to solve the issue:

Reinstall Windows :D

I hate shst that does not belong and embed itself in my registry.
I fel so.... dirty whenever my PC has unnecessary stuff on it that I have to give in and reinstall.

Learnt not to ask my wife to install anything when I'm not around. Found the same work around as this article, but it was far more easier for me to just reinstall Windows, especially since the laptop in question has a decent SSD installed; took less than 10 minutes to be up and running again.

Had it on the work computer when I first started. Only way to fix was reformat. I tried everything. What the fsck was the previous employee browsing to get it so stuffed?
