How to revert to the old cell-c connect software

Hi guys,
I have received an sms from cell c that i should update my cell c connect software. I have the connect software that came with E1820. I did it last night and from that the internet is much slower than normal. I was thinking that it has to do wih the network but it is not.
I have tested it now with mdma and it is much fater. If I disonnect on mdma and connet with cell c software then it is slower.
How do I go back to the original software that came with the stick?
 
I got that sms too... was wondering what the difference was.
 
I also installed that same thing...the older version could be configured to make phone calls, and had a better usage meter
 
I did update as well.
Although the dashboard looks nice & has all new bells & whistles it just not working as well as the old dash.
It uses more resources & takes forever to connect.
Also crashes MS Outlook it seems.
Will revert to old or generic dashboard tomorrow.
 
Thanks for the head's up, although I see the new dash won't work on XP sp2 so I guess it's a moot point.

I've had a completely different experience to most folks. The new dashboard and software works brilliantly on my MF190, no issues at all :)

The old dashboard for the MF190 was a little slow and sometimes became unresponsive. I like the new dashboard better. Thanks for the update Cell C!
 
i dont know if this is just my experience, but i havent had disconnects in ages with the old dash, but now 4 days into the new dash i've had a bucketload of disconnects, especially with HSUPA.
hoping i can go back to the old dash too

i still love cell c though!

Same here. Mine doesn't disconnect though, but instead the connection stops responding. I need to disconnect and connect again to get the connection active again. I'm wondering whether this maybe has something to do with the issues Cell C is currently experiencing. Hopefully this is the case and it will get fixed by the end of this month.

youre right, mine does not disconnect as well, it just stops responding
whenever chrome looks like its going to render a page, it stops and says it cant get connection
i either have to wait a few minutes or unplug the modem and plug it in again

esh!
 
how to reformat huawei 1752 (after cell c update)-cant delete files because "cd-rom"

i installed the new cell c update
it looks spiffy
it works crap
i got constant problems and pages stop responding 24/7 and i have to disconnect and reconnect

luckily i had access to another cell c modem, and i
1. uninstalled new cell c software
2. rebooted
3. installed old software that originally came with modem

i am now a happy camper again, except that each time i want to use my modem (which has the new software), i get errors that i should update the PC's software to be the same as the version on the modem itself.
so i tried to delete the files off the modem, "Files on this CD-ROM are read only"- yes yes i know it picks up as a cd-rom yippikayay
my question is : how to i reformat this huawei 1752 to be the same as the original modem?
