How to unlock my computer from a hack without paying?

I've been involved in a company that was infected with ransomware and after a 4 bitcoin payment (I think it came to R30K or something) they send a script to run on the servers and everything was decrypted, the company never fixed their backup problem and was infected again a month later, again with no backups

We are sorry for letting you down. In fairness, more information was requested on quite a few occasions to try and troubleshoot and some good advice was offered here too.

You don't even need any media, you boot to the repair mode, open command prompt, copy cmd.exe over the accessibility application, restart pc and click on the accessibility icon, from there you can do net user password reset for any account, just copy back the exe once you are logged in and problem solved

It is and the people generally are. There's a term called GIGO. Basically the effort you put in is the effort you get back. Information was requested from the OP but they never responded back. Even so enough information was given here so that someone who even just basically knows their way around a computer should be able to solve the issue.

I looked at a couple of the threads you created, seems you generally get a pretty straight answer and whatever question you had was solved.

The trend with a thread with no replies from the OP is it becomes a joke and banter thread as soon as people find out the person asking for advice is not replying back or actually want the information provided in the thread

I'm definitely not omnipresent or omnipotent with this issue :p ,so I would not be able to answer your question.
When people don't know how to resolve a technical problem, advice given and followed incorrectly will make the issue worse in any event.
So to get it resolved, effort has to be taken to get someone to repair the problem.
I also don't know where the OP lives and if he has petrol money or means of transport to get his PC to a place.
Heck, I would like to know everything, but I'm getting bored typing this out.

Cause they are trying to build a reputable business here...how else are they going to get repeat customers

Legitimately this is how most Ransomware shops work. They will unlock your devices if you pay. Otherwise people just never pay and then their business model gets hurt. The whole thing is kind of ironic but it seems there is honour amongst thieves.
