How to use Cloudflare Warp Plus on your PC

FYI Cloudflare has actually started throttling torrent traffic on normal warp free version to around 10Mbps.

If you want the unlimited version I suggest getting it on app store for R30 per month gives you unlimited Warp+ that they don't throttle on torrents or other traffic. :)

Well worth the R30 airtime I pay every month and allows up to 5 devices on a single license.

Interesting I should test im still using the wireguard warp+ account someone gave me, I'm not using their 1.1.1.1 app

If you're using one of the accounts I sent - do test and let me know :--)

This cape town endpoint is excellent news!

Question didn't Cloudflare say that their app doesn't hide your IP? So wouldn't that make torrenting still risky since it shows your IP? Or does it hide it still while torrenting?

Well they send your ip in a header when viewing a site.

When it comes to torrents it can't because it's udp and tcp connections.

It works well. Fast and pretty decent.

I don't know why you would use it because SA isn't strict on torrents anyways.

Do I need warp+ to use the Cape Town server or just regular, because using the desktop app It still only connects to the JHB server.

Nah, normal warp should work.
Could possibly be a routing issue with your ISP, I know for me rain is routing cloudflare traffic (1.1.1.1 etc) to JHB instead of CPT while Cool Ideas is routing normally.

What does a traceroute to 1.1.1.1 and engage.cloudflareclient.com look like? (This is the address for Cloudflare Warp)

This is what I'm getting to those servers.

Can confirm my torrent tracker can see my real IP when behind Cloudflare Warp so it does not hide your IP from trackers but other clients in the swarm (my seedbox) see the Cloudflare Warp IP. Just thought I'd mention :)

Both benefit from the better routing tho, tested pulling via a not so great Rain connection and got a fairly good boost in speed.

Ah thanks for confirming thats what I thought I don't torrent at all anymore, but remember when I used it to mask my IP it didn't will stick to Nord if I need to torrent. Dont like exposing my IP since I know some guys who got ddosed after doing some torrents...

FYI they have enabled Durban also now.

Would be nice if we can get a list of End points. Doing so you can manipulate the traffic to go either via WACS or Seacom to EU.

Loading a custom End point with the DUR location will take the traffic to DUR and Cloudflare will route it from there. They route Durban via Seacom for all traffic that goes to EU from the looks of it. IF you don't like that you can add the custom end point for CPT to force the traffic via WACS.

@cavedog, here's a question for you

is it worth using this app on my slow as sh*t Rain LTE connection,
or it makes no difference?

They use Seacom transit throughout. They use 2 cables WACS and Seacom.

They peer with everyone in JHB, DUR and CPT.

If you compare Cliudflare network with any ISP in SA they are pretty good mainly because Cloudflare basically have unlimited money.

Any way it could fix my supersonic uncapped LTE that routes to JHB and I’m in Durban causing high latency

Unlikely. If MTN routes the traffic to JHB first then the traffic will get handed over there and not in Durban even if you manually set the end point to the Durban end point.

Do you know why they do this , it’s rather unnecessary since they have routes in Durban for normal mtn users , rain I understand do not
