How to use Cloudflare Warp Plus on your PC

Any IPs you want me to try test from CT? If I recall we get a blend of Seacom and Workonline

ping6.online.net

For me everything is Cogent Co and it's not bad actually. They have a couple of 100G links over various paths from JNB. I believe it will be different fort DUR and CPT because Cogent is only in JHB.

Can't do ping6, seems still using Wolcomm

Here is a V6 trace, also uses work online.

From what I've seen, pretty much all international traffic routes via work online from their CPT POP.

Personally i've found work online to be pretty decent.

Looks like they completely ditched Seacom. Maybe contract ended and they didn't want to renew after the other transit providers provided a better rate or more capacity.

You need to regenerate your config to enable ipv6 if you want to use that.

I should probably do this, as I run a wireguard tunnel on my mikrotik (generated my current config years ago), which I can use as failover when my ISP has international issues, or CPT <> JHB NLD issues. Do you know what size IP block WARP allocates? I am wondering if I can use IPV6 at the mikrotik level and assign IPV6 to devices on the network.

I used wgcf to generate mine and look like an IA-NA only which is a single /128 for point to point which makes sense because you use it on one device. I assume each device that connects like andorid phones etc get's their on /128 If you share the connection like in a router then only the router will get a ipv6 address for the ptp.

It looks like the IPv6 address you get is not publicly routable, seems like CloudFlare does some sort of NAT, because the public IP the servers on the internet see doesn't match the IP assigned in the wireguard config file.

Seems strange that they would do this considering IPv6 traffic is not designed to be NATed and that there is a huge amount of IPv6 space available.

Yeah probably some firewall or 6to4 type thing

I've had this config since like before covid i think i don't know how to even LOL

This is what I did:
1) Download wgcf from github: https://github.com/ViRb3/wgcf/releases/download/v2.2.16/wgcf_2.2.16_windows_386.exe
2) Rename the exe to wgcf.exe
3) Open CMD and cd to the directory where the exe file is contained in.
4) Run the following commands:
wgcf register
wgcf generate

Then thats it! :) - the config file will be in the same directory as the exe file.

The full list of commands available which explains what they do cana be found here: https://github.com/ViRb3/wgcf

Disclaimer: USE AT OWN RISK!

So i am using Warp + and they use Seacom still locally

Your v6 should be working, if the config that was generated contains a v6 address, what happens if you run "tracert -6 google.com"?
