How's Tinder these days?

It's been a waste of time, in my experience.

I have no problem getting matches and initiating conversation, but I get the impression that a lot of women are on there for a quick bit of validation because they just stop replying but don't unmatch.
You're preaching to the choir.

Many also don't reply after you match with them. As you said, some use it for validation so do not actually respond to any guys. Others have so many options that even after they match with guys, they have a further filter.

My buddy uses Bumble & reckons it’s the best of the lot esp wrt matches. Granted that’s not saying much.

I’ve personally never tried it.
The little I have read about it the female has to make the first message. This helps in women not being bombarded with messages from guys like other apps but I'd imagine the end result is men turn more into peacocks by trying to make their profiles and photos nice to attract messages from females

Curious if anyone has tried Bumble and what their experience have been?

Yes, it is much better than Tinder. The girl has to message first and there are fewer bots.

Depending on where you are though, it can be difficult for a guy to get matches. From all the matches we got, I only ever went on one date last month sometime and she did not look like the photo's, lol.

So much for equality

I have to laugh at the 'BETTER IN PERSON' tag some girls have. Also was at a market earlier and spoke to more girls in 30mins than two weeks on Tinder.

Its best to try and video call them if you have any suspicions. Sometimes they use old photos or may take pics at angles which can be deceptive.
