Hi guys. So a friend of mine accidentally sat on her laptop this weekend :erm: The result is a severely cracked screen.

I'm trying to get a replacement screen off Amazon however they seem not to ship to SA:confused: Can anyone point me in the direction of a local distributor please. The laptop still works fine when I connect it using an HDMI cable.

TIA

Thanks I'll have a look. Was hoping to avoid import duties and the like but it seems that's inevitable

I tried sourcing a replacement DELL slot DVD writer earlier in the year ... locally I just got red tape and stupid questions. Ordered one from Amazon via Have2Have in the end. Still not sure if I made the right choice re:Have2Have - ETA for arrival is today, will have to wait and see. Postbox courier tends to get raving reviews on here.

Perhaps some examples would be of benefit to the OP ?

In my hunt for replacement screens in Cape Town, some of the local companies could get screens, but their pricing was not reasonable and some even charged as much as R500 to fit it, others would fit it for free, but their screens were around R400 - R680 more expensive. It became a case of roundabout-and-swings with these companies.

Thanks guys. I've just contacted laptop accessories and they said I should provide them with a part number and not the model number. I'll do that later today. Hope their pricing is reasonable else I'll go with importing the thing.
