Hp laptops or Dell laptops which are better !

HP by FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Alienware
 
Dells are like macs they should be thrown in the garbage!!!
 
If for no reason other than this, you should go HP due to their active support for the Go Opensource initiative...
 
On the Dell website - I see prices (this is good) - on the Hp website I don't (this is bad) - therefore the Hps are proberly more expensive (the Dell I am getting has 3 years on-site-support for a fixed price of R2500 - so I could be wrong)

Also if you want opensource OS like Linux then Hp is good.

Hps don't have prices on their websites since they are always changing due to the exchange rate.

If you could get an equivelent of a dell and an HP the HP would be much cheaper.

Remember this is including on-site-support but my on-site-support only costs me R1500 for three years

Anyway 1 year warrenty for HP products is standard. I.E: FREE
 
Can I tell you how cheap my HP Laptop was, well here you go.

I bought a top of the Range HP Compaq Laptop from the suppliers for R14.500 including 3 year warrenty (don't buy from Incrediable Connection they rip you off) I.E.: Incediable Corruption

Specs: 3.2GH pentium 4 hyperthreading
1G ram
128mb Graphics Card Radeon 9000/9100
15.4 inch screen

Now please tell me kilps are you getting these specs and a reasonable price for your Dell Laptop.
 
Mark, you get on-site support except it takes 1-2 weeks for your laptop to get repaired.

On the other hand Kilps and I get support that takes 1-2 hours (helpdesk).
One dude's motherboard blew (due to him mistreating his AC adaptor) and they replaced it in less than a day. So lets see HP do that for their customers.

(And don't say that HPs never brake, because my dad's one is getting repaired all the time.)

Listen henstra, my mum is an hp reseller and one guy had to get his screen replaced so it got send away on a thursday evening and he got it back on friday (same week) morning at 10.

And my mum has had an hp laptop for about 2 years and the worst thats happened to in was that she had to get a power cable cos the old one frayed.

Ohh thats a great excuse that dell use, tell me which company has a huge share in a F1 racing team NOT DELL cos they are to money hungry (much like telkom) Hp on the other hand have been charging reasonable prices for quality technology.
