Over the last few weeks I've noticed that my HTPC just reboots. I'm generally never there to see it - but when I switch it on it sits at the password screen.

Sometimes it can be a few days ; there isn't a at time etc. I'm running Windows 10 and have another 2GB Ram, Flirc and a GT210 card.

I thought previous the card was too hot and installed system Z (or something) and it indicates 68 degrees idol. It has the little flame next to it too, so it's hot

But Google says other GT210 run ok at that temp.

Is there a log that a non technical person can get to and see why it shut?

Not much omph in micro server PSU's so mains glitchs that normal desktops cope with can cause a reboot.

So a Ups is good to have to iron out spikes etc?

When last did you give it a clean? Mine likes to collect dust my fanless 210 also typically runs at under 50C

My Microserver started rebooting occasionally when one of the memory DIMMS went faulty. Took quite a while to find by a process of elimination. In hind sight it was obvious as I bought the memory from Matrix, where the person who handled the memory did so without any ESD protection.

Start by removing the extra 2GB you added and see if it is stable or run a memory test. Particularly if you handled the memory without taking taking anti-static precautions the chances are it is now faulty.

Best is to run memtest from gparted live usb boot menu - http://gparted.org/liveusb.php

... small download plus gparted is a very useful tool.
