Dunno.. would probably kill the deal though and make it more expensive than other online retailers.

Purchased my server from Bluetek for R1149 inc delivery, excellent service from them - e.t.a 3 days :)
Will let you guys know on my progress !

Last time (about a week ago) I check with Esquire CPT they still had stock ex CPT at R1149 ex VAT.

What SATA is on the motherboard of the N40L? I see there's a custom rom for it as well

what does the custom rom add?

Allows the ODD port (internal sata) and esata port to run at full speeds. I think there's also some advanced settings it unlocks but not sure. I just wanted it for the sata port speeds.

ah yes, i remember the previous post about that now

The kids got a hold of the remote while I was at work today and boy did they do a job on my Openelec. Half of the media was deleted (as in gone) and another 25% was removed from the library. Now XBMC won't even add the new content. I have removed all sources and removed them from the library; cleaned the database; but XBMC refuses to add any media. I can find it in file view and can set the content and refresh items within the path, but it will not add media to tv shows or movies whatsoever - even though all of the nfo and related data is in the folders and even though it shows the content being added episode by episode; movie by movie. I tried deleting the videos60.db file but to no avail.

Guess I'm set for a reinstall. This is quite a journey, I must say...

I got the N40L a while back and am very happy with it. The BIOS loaded on it as stock managed to pick up a normal SATA hard drive connected to the 5th sata port and registered it as an AHCI device, there also was an option for the link speed (1.5GBs/3.0GBs/Auto) I just left on auto and it worked perfectly fine, didn't notice any slow down but dont have an SSD.

I did find a custom BIOS from a site but didn't really need much of its features anyway....

Try changing content in the source. Then change it back.

Tried that numerous times already.

EDIT: wait - in the source? What do you mean in the source? As in the parent directory or changing the content of the actual drive it is sitting on?
