HP ProLiant MicroServer

Guys, I have a strange issue between SABnzbd and Couch Potato. In SABnzbd I get an error saying that the API key configured in Couch Potato is incorrect (it's not!!) and Couch Potato can't add NZB's. Sick Beard is using the API key happily so I'm assuming this is some weird issue with Couch Potato?

All of the above are on the latest versions and my server is running Win7 - all pretty standard stuff.

You putting it in the right place? Should be under Settings -> Downloaders -> SABnzbd -> API Key.

My two year old MSI E350 is getting too slow. Bought me a new ProLiant N54L and I hope it is faster. Will be running it on 16GB RAM with a 128GB SSD and Radeon 6450. Only downside to this is I also had to buy a USB sound card so I settled for a Vantex external 7.1 thing.

Anyone else using these as desktop PCs? How well do they run Windows 8.1?

I have been using my dual core 1.6Ghz E350 as desktop for two years but recently it just got way to slow with multiple tabs in Chrome. I tried it with a HD6450 PCI Express card instead of the built in HD6310 and it was a bit better. So then I decided to give the N54L a try and I hope it works out well, will be loading 8.1 pro on it.

OT : PM me if you want a E350+2GB RAM+250GB HDD in a PC-Q07 case

To update it to 8.1, you need to install a Bios update from the HP site. Haven't gotten around to that yet. It works brilliantly on Windows 8 64 bit tho. And that's with only 6GB Ram, installed on the 250GB Hdd. It should be better with your specs.

I got the following BIOS that I will load soon as I get the box :
VERSION: 2013.10.01A
ROM FAMILY: O41
REVISION: A

Cool, downloaded it. Quite keen to start playing with my new toy. Sadly the sound will only be coming next week so this weekend my PC is going to be awfully quiet :(

Yeah, still no joy:confused:

I get the error:

API Key incorrect, Use the api key from Config->General in your 3rd party program: 192.168.1.100>CouchPotato windows - desktop-2.3.1 - v2

Sooo, last chance or not to pick one of these puppies up for about R1750 ?? (NL52) ... Worth it now ?

I already have two of them (NL36 and NL52) , but seeing how expensive they now have become, maybe it's worthwhile getting another backup ... before the new release which could be over R4k !!

Just generate a new API key to use?

Much faster than my E350 :P Loving it except for :
1) No support for 2.5" drives (had to buy adapter off ebay)
2) No SATA power connector
3) No Sound (getting USB sound next week)

Phoned around yesterday to try and see who has stock on these. Surprisingly, there are a bunch arriving within the next week or two. A lot of the distributors and suppliers got stock all of a sudden. Wonder why Esquire didn't bring in more of them?

Not sure they are making much more of them. Probably started on the production of Kaveri based systems, although that is more consumer end and not so much enterprise based.

Jip. Saldy its not low profile...

It is. I have got the same one running in my microserver.
