HP ProLiant MicroServer

Cool, give us feedback on the GT610's. I'd like to know if there are any compatibility issues, if they easy to install etc. Also out of interest, what was the postage on that order?

Sweet. Can finally work on syncing libraries across devices.

Thinking if you don't need the hard drive bays this is the way to go for a media player.

Will do a costing with post box courier.

Those look really cool, maybe we should ask esquire to bring some in if they don't already have a distributor.

I have one, cost about R2600 so nearly double the HP, works well.

where did you get it from?
the new hp is at 2k iirc, then you still need a graphics card and remote which this machine will already have...

Yeah that looks like a promo/launch price, it's probably going back the the 399 euro price.

@nadimm: Have you looked at the Intel Next Unit of Computing? The Celeron 847 unit sells on Amazon.com for ~R1500?

180 USD for a barebones unit. Whereas the arctic is 230USD with everything in. Granted its a more powerful processor, but atom will be fine for openelec.

If you wait a bit the NUC Celeron 847 motherboards should go on sale for hopefully less than R1000. Currently the complete i3 unit is selling for ~R2700 with the separate i3 motherboards selling for ~R2000. There is also a motherboard together with PSU option.
