HP ProLiant MicroServer

My emailed copy says Cash, EFT or Debit Cards - you were robbed and they owe you 2.5% back:
Yup. Purchased from then with a card before. No handling fees were charged.

Esit: might want to cover up your email address in the screenshot. ...

They've always told me it's an extra few % for credit card. Haven't bought from them for some time but I doubt that's changed

we have stopped accepting credits cards or cheque cards 5 years ago as have we pay 2.5% but on debit cards we pay 0.9% that is why we don't charge anything.

we had 100's of meeting with the bank to reduce the charges but they wont budge so we opted to not accept them

when you making less then 3% like we doing on this special 2.5% goes to the bank

No, this one is a generic. Costs about R550.

So really just a stock standard like the below?

PSU450R 450W ATX Power Supply- Raidmax R399 incl
PSU550H 550W ATX Power Supply- Huntkey R683 incl

Yep, I guess so. But I know that model fits cos I have installed it, I'd have to test those others first.

It's basically a 150W 1U unit

Check the advert - they won't accept anything other than cash. I'm sitting with them now.

He says I can swipe my card for another 2.5% - so I went ahead. Much easier and more convenient. Plus my ebucks nullifies the extra

You can make a bank transfer from your credit card - if they allow that.

Make sure it's a 1U Flex ATX Power supply unit.

Here is an example. http://www.comx-computers.co.za/FSP...Energy-Star-5-0-SFX-2-1-Power-Buy-p-77878.php
(Comx kindly upgraded the description after an error was made in the supply chain).

I was looking at this one to replace the dead PSU in my N36L -
Huntkey HA210 180W Flex PSU
, but wasn't sure if it would be the right one. I emailed Techstop, but couldn't get confirmation on whether or not it was actually a Flex ATX PSU.

Thanks.

I'll probably do a little testing and make sure it's the power supply before I buy. I mean the light was on until I turned it off and then on - then dead :( Sounds even more serious

Here is the Huntkey web: http://dealer.huntkey.com

There is no HA210 unless you look at the PSU of this display: http://dealer.huntkey.com/en/product/p-210-677.html
However this is a SFX PSU, so it will not work.

There is a 150W Huntkey industrial PSU, HK250-93FP. Industrial implies muchos and muchos $$$
http://dealer.huntkey.com/en/product/p-103-454.html

Personally I'd go for the one we found for LazyLion because we know it works. All that's needed additionally is two Y splitter SATA to SATA power cables, or a friend in the PC scrap business to quickly make you two ;)

Personally, that's what I'm getting since one of mine met Thor ...
(I blame LazyLion for this spate of PSU failures on the Microservers, he started it)
