HP ProLiant MicroServer

Getting my server tomorrow ;) and will first see how it works before I get a card. Going to use it for the kids animated DVDs as I'm tired of seeing my movies getting trashed (got over 50 DVDs and my collection is growing).

Order a cheap MCE remote from Takealot Amazon portal (with some other stuff) and undecided if I'm going to use Debian or Ubuntu, probably try both.

Only thing that won't work out-the-box with these servers is audio.

See this image and you'll see it has no audio out, only VGA.

Prety excited though. Getting mine on Friday

My bad read wrong off a table it's 27w for the ddr5 and 20w for the ddr3

The ddr5 is often said to be 31watts though as well and without actual specs from AMD on there site and so many versions of the '6450' not sure what the actual figures are

Yeah I got the PointOfView GT520 in my HP (actively cooled), didn't come with a LP bracket, but otherwise fits fine.

Does this card do audio via HDMI or how do you get audio to your TV from XBMC with this PointOfView GT520 card?

Hi

Just got my server today.
Which cards do hdmi 1.4?
I'm also keen to know who got the ATI cards working in Linux (which distro)?

IT does do audio over HDMI

GT520 and 6450 AFAIK are the only one's with HMDI 1.4 that will work/fit in a HP MS the 6450 will probably still have issues in linux
