HP ProLiant MicroServer

Pvr is for use in machines with a tv tuner from what I can see.

Thanks!

has anyone tested yet? My OpenELEC is installed on a 2TB drive so i'm gonna need to backup and format i guess :D

Busy scraping.

If youre going to be doing that, you should install onto a flash disk. That way you can keep one flash with a stable working install and just stick another one in for dev/messing around.

Thanks mate - brilliant idea. I think i'm going to go this route first, and play around for the time being.

I'm looking for a MicroServer owner (around Cape Town, Northern subs would be easiest..)
I have some memory modules that I want to try in a MicroServer and see if it works...
If you help me out you can keep the two 4GB modules if it works in the Microserver...
Memory Details: 46C0596 49Y1435 8936 4GB (1x4GB, 2Rx4, 1.5V) PC3-10600 CL9 ECC DDR3 1333MHz LP RDIMM
Came out of a IBM X3650 M3 server... might work in a Microserver, so who is willing to test?

More details on memory: SAMSUNG M393B5170FH0-CH9 DDR3 1333 4GB ECC REG 2RX4

now when i start up i get a tiny window in the corner of the tv
it just hangs, sometimes in the splashscreen or in the main menu

any ideas on how to restore/ maximise?

im thinking i should probabaly just install a clean beta 2...

whats the difference between non-pvr and pvr? will either work on the hp?

If I thought there is a chance of Registered RAM working I might just have volunteered :D, but I'm 99.99% sure it won't i.e.
ECC Reg is for Opterons and Xeons.

Also:

N40L and N54L were the first two Turion II Neo models launched in April 2010 together with a mix of Atlhon II Neo, Athlon II XLT and Phenom II XLT microprocessors. Main difference of these and other embedded Turion Neo CPUs from mobile Turion IIs is the same or lower power consumption, and smaller/thinner BGA package. Internal features of these Neo parts are not different from Turion II models: two CPU cores with 128 KB L1 cache and 1 MB L2 cache per core, wider 128-bit FPU path, support for DDR3 memory, and the same set of integrated technologies. The embedded Turions have some additional features, such as ability to work with low-voltage memory, or optional ECC memory support.

Thanks for the heads up

Easy to work around. It's not a clash in the webservices, it's just missing the stuff from the startup ;)

You can put the following line into a file called autostart.sh in /storage/.config

Code:
/storage/.xbmc/addons/service.downloadmanager.SABnzbd-Suite/bin/SABnzbd-Suite.service

The HP N36L/N40L actually comes standard with ECC memory. (It is a server even though a small one;))

Unfortunately I am in Pretoria, so I guess it is a bit too north for you?

Maybe a bit to far north yes :)

Thanks for the offer, got someone to test closer by, so will see if it's going to work.
I know they support ECC RAM, maybe only unregistered (un-buffered) ECC and not registered ECC...
