If the receiver is similar to this one on DX then this may be of interest ...

Try as I might I could not even get Ubuntu to pick up this receiver. Which OS are you using?
Please post info here, this is the second time people have said the config is tough but mine was easy, what am I missing?
In ubuntu, you need to install a little app called "lirc" - from there, things start to run smoother.
PM me if you need help with a harmony remote, takes quite some config to make it work.
Fair enough but both of those took about 30 seconds flat. It took longer to set up event ghost under XP.
The only learning curve was how some of the keys have been mapped, again, no biggy.
Trust me I've been through all that, couldn't pick it up using lsusb though. Maybe I got a dud?
Anyhow, I now have another receiver and the Harmony is arriving any day now. So I'll give you a shout if I run into any issues. Thanks!
It's possible. Tried it on a windows pc?
Hi guys
This thread has gotten too long to read through has anyone found a network card that fits in the Microserver? I want to use it as a firewall.
Heh it's gotten huge! We should all make an effort and put all the relevant info on the wiki!

Firewall needs two NICs as a basic requirementThe onboard NIC is not good enough for that?
I do know that this one fits:
