HTC DESIRE HD

Brut.al mod worked fine for me. Haven't managed to get this new maps 5 one working. Unrooted of course.

Saw Google Nav working in UK YouTube video and its pretty impressive.

But till it's officially available here, Route66 will do.
 
Sigh ... im STILLLLLL having issues with the htc Sense website wont allow me to do anything on it after it logs me on,
even logged a call with HTC n all they can say is we sorry the site isnt working at the moment but others in SA have
access and use it just fine!!!

and as long as im ranting ... when are we getting Gingerbread!!!! and will we be able to use the new sense 3!!!!
 
Yip - they just give the same BS story over and over...

I'm actually thinking of logging a complaint with ASA.

Well its clearly advertised on the box... and the website.... I've sent them another email asking them if they are aware of South African advertising laws... the guys that respond via tickets on HTC's site are South African.... they've even phoned me once.

hey guys..having a few issues with syncing some of my accounts...how can I set up my google account so that it syncs gmail every hour..I've gone into settings-accounts but there's no option to set it.

Secondly,with Facebook for htc sense,it syncs some of my contacts but not the rest...anybody else having this problem??
 
Well - I logged in again and updated my original query asking if they're familiar with advertising laws in SA, and they are advertising a product or feature that does not exist.... instead of the usual copy and paste response that everyone has been getting, I got this:

I logged the initial query in January, and have requested an update each month.

I know what he's trying to do - blame Wifi - fortunately, I only use Wifi at home.

Well I only have access to 3G and the htcsense.com page loads but I cant trace my phone, make it ring or use any of the other services.

This brings me to my next point for this post. I am planning on rooting and going CM7 on my DHD, only thing I really use on Sense that I still cant find is a decent calculator widget.

Is anyone using CM7 on a DHD, if so is everything supported ie: radio, camera and so on?

To set mail to only poll on the hour rather set it up as pop instead of using Gmail app, and turn off Gmail app's background data sync, as for your Facebook question I only use the market installed Facebook and that seems to work 100%

Gmail is push email, so as soon as it receives a new email in your mailbox, it pushes it to your phone. Elimentals is correct, you can set up Gmail as a POP email account (you must configure it when logged in to Gmail on your computer though) and then have the option to choose the time intervals for it to check on the mailserver for new mail.

No idea. Disable Facebook for HTC Sense and enable it again. See if it works.

Erm do not I repeat do not use CM7 on DHD, esp if you love your battery, stand by is using more power than display so this one is no good.
