HTC DESIRE HD

since my mom is still supporting me (im a student) she went to MTN HQ in PE. They dont have any instance of the Desire HD on thier Database besides thier website. This makes no sense to me. but ill give them a call later today. They kept on insisting that i meant the "HTC Desire" not the "HTC Desire HD"

Yeah ... I actually phoned the warehouse last week and the person told me that I should be able to go into a MTN store by this week friday and they should be able to place an order for me if they haven't got the phone in stock.
 
Ok, so where is the best store to go place an order? I tried the MTN in Fourways Mall and they didn't have it on their list. Anywhere in that area, or maybe Midrand ...?

I would suggest that you just wait until end of this week then try placing order at mtn shop :)
 
On my twitter account I asked Vodacom about the release date and they said middle of this month!

Ah....then MTN might have it earlier!

Someone mentioned earlier that MTN will get an exclusive two weeks before Vodacom gets it.....I'm hoping MTN phones me tomorrow! :love:
 
I spoke to Leaf an they told me that the DHD and DZ won't have TomTom SA maps preinstalled on them yet. Will be a free download from HTC/Leaf later on.

I definitely want the maps.....really nice that you don't need constant data downloads for the maps.
 
sigh ... when is this phone coming??? I was on MTN website and booked my upgrade with the phone as it is an option, got a call yesterday
and was told it is still not available but they will keep my details on system and once the phone is available will call me again.

and i go on waiting patiently ... will this phone not come already i've been waiting to upgrade for 2 months already

Me too. But, if it's any consolation, you'll be getting the best mobile phone currently available on planet earth....so definitely worth waiting for. ;)
 
I phoned MTN upgrade, and the sale guy told me they have no release dates for the HTC Desire HD planned for this year. They expect release of the Desire HD only Q1 2011 !! I guess I'll go for iPhone4 then.. I'm not going to wait another 3 months!

Hang in there, Caleax! I'm sure the phone will be released very soon - and what I've discovered is that the sales people are so misinformed, that you simply can't trust what they tell you.

I can't stop you from getting the iPhone....but just remember that once you signed for the iPhone 4, you'll have to live with it for the next two years.

*Have a look at the comments on the YouTube video & you'll see how many iPhone users are switching....well, I'm also one. So tired of my iPhone! :(
 
hehe, I SOOOOOO want the HTC Desire HD.. *sigh* what to do? what to do? :p
 
This should be interesting - as Leaf are notorious for bad releases.
