Using Titanium Backup you shouldn't lose too much. My format, reset to factory defaults and flash and I was 95% back to where I was before (except with Gingerbread, of course)

I see the DSTV Drifta works on the phone now!! Schweeeeet!!

Using my iPhone 3G again. It sucks donkey balls.
But in all fairness to the iPhone, I can watch DSTV Drifta on it + it can do WhatsApp....albeit a bit slow.
Has your new Battery arrived yet...?
Hopefully this coming week. Strangely my current battery went from lasting 6 hours to lasting about 12 two weeks ago.
Running the Revolution Rom.with HTC Sense 3... So much more responsive now... But what a hassle to get it done.

On another note. How do I turn my phone into a wifi hotspot so that I can use it as an internet connection with my laptop...?

Has anyone been able to find the stock "South African" RUU file for the DHD? I see there is a distinction in the original OTA for Gingerbread, I saved the *.zip file back then and it reads "OTA_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE-AFK...." instead of just "WWE"...
I also found this thread floading in the ether:

The filename is: RUU.Ace.HTC.WWE-AFK.1.38.421.1.Radio.12.28b.60.140e.26.03.02.26.M. release.155956.signed.exe
The file was hosted on hotfile, but has been removed.

I see that with the RUU stock rom one finds on shipped-roms et al, market gives the app value as ZAR instead of Rand, dunno what else is different between these versions but would like to find out.

Currently running Android Revolution HD, still to try out the MIUI type roms, but from screens they look a lot like iOS clone roms, dunno if I'm wrong but meh, will give it a try later. Also keen to try the Runnymead rom floating about xda.
ARHD is nice, but felt a little bloated "mem usage and speed wise" first time I flashed it. reverted to stock for ****s n niggles and flashed ARHD again, this time round it seems smoother. This time round I dont have ATK installed though, maybe it just causes probs?
I dunno. Wish I could find a good free Wi-Fi spot to install my Gameloft games though, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, haven't finished Dungeon Hunter 1 yet, and want to start DH2, but cant find a wifi spot to activate them

What extras did you have on that rom?
I tried it, but found a problem that there is no 'app drawer' or somesuch, I deleted the dialer shortcut by accident and couldn't find anyway to put it back in the launcher.
reverted to my nand.backup install of ARHD. want to try RCmix3d Rom tomorrow when whoosh cap returns...
