After many ROM replacements and playing around (settled on RCMix Sense 3.5 and GB 2.3.5 for long), I got bored and was looking for a stock rom, yesterday I saw that HTC will officially unlock the bootloader so decided, :Meh: whynot.
So I found out for the first time that apparently HTC already churned out a sense 3.0 rom, got the 3.12.405.1 RUU, installed it, then ran the bootloader update RUU from htcdev, then unlocked my bootloader...
No heavenly choir, not revelations, not even a recovery option to do a nandroid backup, nothing, installed superuser from market on startup and attempted to install busybox et al, wouldn't install. Cant attain root and to bored with rooting etc to figure it out now, will try later.
All I'm wondering is: Why did we have to wait for an official unlocked bootloader, what was the significance? GB still cant be edited to allow sudo-privilages without a hack workaround, the recovery doesn't have any options to backup or install a new ROM.zip from SD card... Farnkly I have no idea what significance the unlocked bootloader had.
Any ideas gurus?
(When I feel motivated again, I'll probably go back to earlier RUU and root, install 4ext touch, install RCMix or something again and wait for the ICS rom to come out of BETA...)
