HTC DESIRE HD

I was being facetious ;)

None of these ICS ROMs seem to support the DHD camera. And this one is no exception...

Oh - right.

HTC has lost my support - they wont be on the top of my next device list. Once a phone is out, they drop support for it - instead they'd rather just release another device with the relevant fixes/updates/software.

Ag, maybe it'll still come. But yeah, too long for an update. Personally I'm waiting for the SGS3...

My next phone will probably be a Motorola or whatever Nexus is out at the time.
I'm hoping that Google will push Motorola to release more software updates.

Still nothing wrong with my DHD. In about 8 months it will be time to upgrade for me, then I think I'll keep my DHD and just get a tablet or something. This phone is still better than a lot of the phones out there.

If I get another handset, I'll probably go for a Motorola and I'm also keen on trying a Windows Phone Device....but not keen.

By the way, back when I wasn't sure if I should get the DHD or not, there was a certain "Kingrob" who actually convinced me to get one, simply by continuously talking of how awesome this phone is.....where is he and does he/you still have it??

I think he dropped his and It broke.

I'm still here, beans100. :)

Like Zenbaas said, I dropped my phone and it was messed up. One of the saddest days of my life. :(

So it was back to my old iPhone 3G, but hated using it every day. After a few months I couldnt take it anymore & got myself a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Still missed my Desire HD, so picked up a HTC Wildfire S, just to use Sense UI with the live water wallpaper again. Looks exactly like my Desire HD's home screen used to look, just much smaller. :)

OMFW This Smartbeat ROM is SMOOOOOOOOTH. Its about the best ICS based ROM I have seen in a long time.

I can almost see myself using this instead of MIUI.

There is only 1 very small but very crap drawback. The camera doesnt work.

Edit: Holy Cow, it comes with Polaris Office and HTC's Route 66 Navigation included

In light of post above...

http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...rnel-source-code-including-that-of-the-one-v/

HTC, keeping up with its recent pattern of speedy source release, has dropped official ICS kernel source code for a heaping handful of devices, perhaps most notably the One V, a member of HTC's new One line which hasn't yet debuted in many countries.

Other devices include the US variant of the Vivid and several iterations of the Sensation, with the Desire HD and myTouch 4G Slide's Gingerbread (2.3) kernel source also being dropped.

Included is the Desire HD's code, so the dev's will be hard at work to get the camera working in all the ICS ROM's

Hmmmmm. Got a notification on my Desire HD saying that HTC Watch is ready for download. Should I go ahead or not?

Best guess is to google and see.

Left stock ages ago, in fact I find it amazing that some people still on it :)

I have a dead pixel on my dhd.
It bothers me when doing something with a black background.
Still under warranty, what's the warranty terms on dead pixels. I'm also rooted though.

If you're rooted then your warranty will be declared invalid when you send it in.
You will have to downgrade to an official HTC firmware first, then send it in, and I don't know if they cover dead pixels in the warranty, but IMO that should be covered.

yeah just unroot and flash a stock rom and then send it in
if you under warrenty im sure they'l fix it

Ever since Saturday the Wi-Fi on my DHD stopped working. I get an error 'Unable to scan for networks'. I'm still on the stock rom Version 2.3.5.

When I connect my phone to my PC it just charges, no options for disk drive, tethering, etc. I get a pop-up message on the PC 'USB device not recognised'.

Any help?
