not sure, when you look at the comparative charts, there doesn't seem to be too much of a difference.

@the Guy.
what do you think?

Hello dotVIBE, for normal car navigation, is Handymay standard good enough?? Thanks

Handymap works quite well ... its my best friend up in Jozi .. the difference between Handymap Ai Gold and standard has the same mapping detail .. Ai Gold supports house numbers and Fuzzy logic learning ...
Map updates are freeeeeeeeeeeeee

Going to get it soon.....Thanks!! I heard it's maps are compatible with papago and mapking, so it's good that it will work overseas.....:D BT GPS receiver is quite expensive here, I can get a SIRF III chip 10HR battery for around R500 in far east....going to ask relative to bring one over;)

Yup, same qualcomm chipset on both. The guy has a p3600 he has been trying to unlock to install the GPS radio ROM. So now we're waiting for someone to figure out how to activate the TyTn GPS.

It is up and running on the P3600 that has been donated to me for the sake of science as with all my other devices ...
the software needed to enable the GPS utility is on the Dopod ROM ... the ROM was available but up until recently the tool used to unlock the CID ( Country Identifier ) was not freeeeee ... DotVibe did some nifty shovel work and dug up a link, Nice one Brover ..

It took a while for the device to get a fix initially .... but it locked on and .. Oh My Garden .. it really works ... i am using Handymap Ai Gold on the P 3600 ( just for interest sake ) I was really impressed with accuracy considering the hardware this device has for the GPS ...
I honestly expected it to perform as well as a 1100 Uno towing a caravan .. this was not the case ...

I recon if the TyTn GPS is not cracked by mid-March then it will never happen. the momentum will be gone as all the techies will run off to play with next latest and greatest device.
