the GPS receiver works quite well ... surprising well actually .. I have been using Handymap from 2004, handymap 2005 and now i am using Handymap Ai gold
Ok well I went to the shop to check it out and YUK!
I don't like the phone at all, the guy had it in the black - which I thought would have been nicer than the white but its that crappy shiny finish, the sort that shows up all your finger prints straight away. After handling the phone for only 5 min (brand new out the box) it looked like it had been used by a mine worker or mechanic for 6 months. I wasnt impressed.
Anyway I got to take a look at the P3300 dummy (he didnt have a real one in stock) and WOW what a sexy phone!!
I was well impressed - I will be getting that one instead...
I dont use it as a permanent internet connection so the 3G/HSDPA isnt a worry. I use it to download email when Im away from the office - which isnt often.
The ONLY issue I have is that the P3600 has a 400mhz processor vs the P3300's 200mhz, but then I'm only going to be using the preinstalled apps along with one extra aviation GPS software called NavGPS which I hope will work well and not get me lost up there
I figure that if it can handle TomTom it will handle NavGPS just fine.
Other than that it is a VERY small phone (the pics on the net dont do it justice) and in all a very nice design.
SOLD!
Now if I can only get those chops at MTN to allow the dealers to order it and give it to clients on contract... Im not keen on paying R7000+ at Leaf Wireless to buy it cash.
