Running Android MM, after two factory resets the batery life is not as good as on lollipop....Yes I tried batery saver, runs not bad at all but why should I use that mode?

I've noticed the same. It's also a bit buggy - a few apps have lost minor responsiveness and my notification LED works intermittently. Screen also randomly decided not to switch off the other day.

I've heard that Android 6.0.1 will be fixing the battery life issue plus some other bug fixes and will most probably be the last major update for the M8. Maybe they will let loose the bug fix by June

I have done a factory reset and a wipe of the cache partition twice, not having any issues except the bad batery life compared to Lollipop. Seems like not all devices are treated the same....

UPDATE* I did a cache wipe from recovery again, second wipe second cache wipe and viola! Presto! batery life much better than Android 5 AKA Lollipop! I have my work email on my phone, whats app and have my phone on the whole day. I never knew that its true, it takes time for a new OS to "settle in" There is room for improvement but this update proves to be pretty decent and an update to Android 6.0.1 or 6.1 will be SUPER! Happy once again with HTC! The only reason if I will ever switch is the terrible audio roundtrip latency, native to Android...this is an area where iOS is simply uncontested, BUT lets see what the "Perfume" M10 can offer, it is the make or break device for HTC so expect the VERY BEST!

Hi, as the IT guy working for a rather large Multi National Healthcare Hospital Group, I get to work with most top end latest devices, I most definately like what works and that is smooth. HTC in their M8 is that to me, sense is the best OEM Skin, Samsung's Touch Wiz a mess but hey as one Dr told me, he loves the mess when I handed my phone over, it was too neat and simple. iOS used to be straight forward and simple, they have lost that in my view. Batery played up a bit after the Big MM update but is now settled and performs as expected. I would like to hear about other peoples experience about Android. iOS and other mobiles.

Ciao, Fernando

Hi Guys, just to let you know, with Android 6.0 I get two full days on my HTC M8. That is phone calls, whats app's, emails out of my busy day. I think this is pretty good as the best was 1 and a half day on the previous version. Small bugs here and there, like when you on do not disturb mode and you toggle off, the ringtone stays on silent. Sense is the only reason for me ditching the S7 for let's face it, Samsung is the hardware leader OEM, their deals are just unbeatable, so I am holding out for the HTC 10, sure they have a few tricks up their sleeve, its HTC after all.

Sure let us see, dont have to wait too long as I prefer the SD820 SOC over others.

Thanks

Ciao, ciao
Fernando
