HTC One M8 confirmed for SA

It's great news knowing it's coming to SA. Really want this over the S5 / Z2. Now we just need to know when it's coming :D
 
HTC is going to support it and release new firmwares for more than a year after release.

Why "closer to the time" The phone was released the day it was announced, the time is now. Vodacom said here that they would release the Galaxy S5 on the international release date, so why not the new One?

Well I went to Vodacom today to get a nano sim for my HTC one M8, they were all "oo ahh" over it, taking pictures of the phone... :wtf: . Said they haven't seen a phone like that yet. I asked them when SA is getting it and the sales rep said that they don't have a date for it as nobody even received an email giving an "estimated" time. They're all waiting with no news... So it seems like those wanting to go with HTC on contract is going to wait some time still.

Looks like Samsung out jumped HTC though, because you see Galaxy S5 ads all over the store.
 
I messaged all the networks via Facebook over the weekend. MTN and Vodacom confirm that it's in testing. No ETA though.

Well I already have the phone so...

I'm not going to die of old age before the companies in this country gets with the program...
 
Worse form me... My contract is up for renewal and I want the new M8 Mini. Long wait in store for me :/
