It's a bit more complicated than that. They now check the CC and if it's not from US then they cancel your order. You have to order with a special type of CC.

Then yoou need to use a postal forwarding service etc.

Yep, you can get a prepaid virtual cc.
And postal forwarding services work well but usually use expensive couriers.
Then if you have a warranty issue you have to send it back via the reverse route
For me not really an option

I have never had an iPhone issue but have had iPad issues and must admit the repair process works well
