HTC Queries

feel so wronged with this. I really thought HTC started caring about us here in SA. I mean, I have been torturing myself daily with a phone that can only text and call...After 250 smses the phone reboots when I go into the message inbox. Could have bought an Experia Z or pre-ordered an S4....

I've put faith in HTC...perhaps I should not have. Coming soon, what does that mean from Vodacom? Why no pre-orders for it but pre-orders for the S4 is available...

I called Vodacom Upgrade line today at 16:00 to inquire about the One and the agent mentioned that they still had 2 units in stock.
I decided to wait for pricing from the other networks though, as the Vodacom offerings are rather expensive...

Those thinking of Samsung, please note they have major signal problems, and am speaking of experience, Upgrading next month and MTN say they can order the HTC One for me, so is available, but on request.

I think it is the service providers that are screwing us, they have idiots working for them and would not know a good phone ,even if it bit them in the ass!

not sure which Samsung, you referring to, I got the s4, signal is awesome, and wifi is excellent - much better then my one x.

don't disagree with you on the people working at the Service providers, but like i said HTC isn't helping themselves either

Are there any HTC Desire X or One S handsets left? MTN doesn't seem to have any, and the only HTC phone they have stock of is the 8X. Any news on South Africa getting the Desire 500?

So much for point 3

Hi,

We got asked this question on the Official HTC One Thread:

So here's the answer:

1) We aren't HTC employees, we just represent them on the forum and feedback to you on what's happening with HTC in South Africa.
2) We can only share information on the forums in line with HTC embargoes on information. If we can't tell you, we can't tell you.
3) HTC South Africa does have a local office and is here to stay.

So, fire away.

So much for point 3...

HTC has closed its South African office and appointed a distributor, Ingram Micro Mobility, to sell its smartphones in the local market.
