Ola peeps, I just recently updated my HTC TYTN to WM6.1 and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the 6.1 update for the bosses HTC Touch Dual?

Let me just say that 6.1 is awesome, slightly different look, much better battery performance and my personal favourite, sms' grouped by conversation/sender.

I would like very much please.

I believe the upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 is quite significant. If it's a leaked copy it means its available so why don't they just release it ?

Would that work on the Imate JasJam too?
I found a version from Telstra in Oz, but am scared to apply it in case my phone ends up locked to the Telstra network :)

As far as I can tell they are device specific. I tried to update my bosses Touch and it refused.

True... Definitely some wonderful ROMS.

I tried over at least 20 ROMS for my Hermes device. Until I bricked it :( Couldn't stand Windows Mobile software! I needed every hack in the book to try make it run somewhat stable. Much prefer Symbian to be honest.

I see there's even a solution for bricked devices now. Jocky's frankenkaiser tool. How did you brick it?

Really? Haven't been on the xdadev forum for ages since i got my N95. It would be really great if I could un-brick it.

I bumped my phone off the table by mistake and it dropped off the USB cable during the flashing process.

Where can I find that software? Is it compatible for the Hermes device, or only for the Kaiser?

GSLEON3 also succesfully unbricked his Kaiser with FrankenKaiser which had radio 1.64.08.21 installed. That should give you some confidence

Its not the Windows Mobile software thats unstable, its the ROMs and hardware. I've had some very shocking WM phones, and some VERY stable ones, my Tytn II is W-A-Y more stable than my E90 ever was.

FrankenKaiser is only for the Kaiser device (Tytn II). The TyTn I is named 'Hermes'.

I have tried so many possibilities. After flashing so many roms, the screen ALWAYS remains on the 'Align Screen' page. I align the damn thing 20 times and it keeps repeating the whole process!

Sandman, you wouldn't know how to get rid of this error would you? The guys over at xda don't seem to be that helpful...

@limnos - I had the same problem with my Mio A700, it wasn't the rom, it was the LCD touch screen (the film on top), I had to order another one off ebay. The problem is the screen alignment is way off, so when you try align it, where you tap is out of the set limit for the touch screen... kinda difficult to explain, but that was my issue anyways.

Is it no dust related? Can't I just open the phone up, blow and screw it all back together?

If that is honestly the case I might as well not even consider that then. Though of using it as a HSDPA modem as it was a old phone.

Not sure... the film sticks to the LCD.... they're about R700 on ebay...

Can someone upload the Tytn II WN6.1 ROM somewhere besides rapidshare?
