HTC S710 and Advantage

I may have to hang on to my i-mate pocket pc for a while then. Apart from 3G, the TyTN does not really offer me much more than what I already have.

i am getting my Advantage in the next 2 days ... i hope it is all it is cracked up to be cos it K@@@@@@@@@k expensive.
S710 is a funky little device .. not really my style. but it was cool to have an official version of Mobile 6.0 to hookup to an exchange 2007 server. it is only then you feel the real power of Mobile 6.0

it was quite cool to log in via web access and remotely wipe your device. the level of security awesome ... external card encryption is a standard feature.

For Business this platform is gonna rock ...

I've published comparison tables on my wiki in an attempt to clear up the perplexity of the various names under which HTC devices are marketed.

I’ve also started to provide links to images, official pages and reviews for each of the devices.

Please feel free to correct any mistakes or add more information/links.

nah, the advantage will be much more niche than the TyTn & the P990i. Its just too big!

After spending quite some time working on this list, I found that it's been done already :( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_PhoneModels and http://www.htcclub.net/en/pda-phones.php. The only spin I can think of now to make these tables usefull is to add information specific to the carriers in South Africa. Any ideas?

It here

Okay ... i got the device today .. overall size is not ridiculously huge.
the video out is really nice ... i am impressed with the resolution on the remote display ...
the Vue flow is limited to your browser which is a let off ... you have a choice of internet explorer or Opera.

Any bets on how long it will be before these new phones are available in South Africa?

The TyTN and MTeoR took about 6 months.

I was at Leaf Wireless on Wednesday ... Their product Manager has and Advantage already ... I think he said end of July for the Advantage ... but that thing is HUGE ... don't know how you will use it as a phone
