HTC Touch Diamond

Want to sell mine - bargain

Fantastic phone, actually better than the Samsung Omnia (except for memory and large text facility) I had mine now for 3 weeks, to small for my eyes. With new firmware 1.93.x. and screen protector
A bargain at R 3800.00

I broke mine!
I tried using the Touch Pro battery and used the same back cover, it snapped in two but worst than that I think the battery messed up the phone! Theres these flickering lines on the LCD!:(

Eina! The contacts must have different polarities?

Eina! The contacts must have different polarities?

you wonder why they do that.
that's why when it comes to compatibility nokia rules. all these other manufacturers, every phone comes with a dif batt, charger, etc. motorola is the worst offender in that department.

I wonder if you guys could help me connect to the net using my Diamond? Unfortunately I am capped so I can't get on google to research it...Thanks

Edit: sorry I didn’t explain properly, I want to use my Diamond as a modem. Ie: Browse internet from my PC using my phone.

Please ignore my post - as I posted I remembered the phone actually came with a manual which is actually rather informative :D

When going through mails in the Inbox view, I’ve noticed that I am unable to select a whole list of mails by dragging the stylus down the list. Anyone else with this problem?

That's not a problem in Win Mob, that's actually a feature...! :p

Sorry for the joke - mine actually works? Mine's stock standerd out of the box from MTN...

Try the following?

Deleting multiple emails within a mailbox

Let's say we're deleting 5 emails in a row.

* Windows Mobile: (1) Drag your finger/stylus across the emails you want to delete, (2) tap delete, (3) Confirm with Yes (optional). 3 taps.
* iPhone: (1) tap Edit, (2) Tap "Delete Circle" on first email, (3) Tap Delete and watch animation for a split second, (4-11) Repeat those taps on three more emails. 11 taps.

You can also use the "slide delete" method to eliminate step 1 above, but in practice it's much easier to tap than to slide to delete when doing multiple emails - it's faster and much less likely to cause you to accidentally open the email.

Note that with Windows Mobile, the only time the number of taps is going to increase is when you have emails you don't want to delete in between the ones you do.

Although the "tap count" is closer in some of these sub-categories, with the iPhone winning most, the bulk-delete category is just a deal breaker for me. In fact, I often found myself simply using the "in email" method of deleting on the iPhone and waiting for the delete animation and for it to load the next email I want to delete simply because it was easier (and slightly faster) to not have to move my fingers off the delete button.

Add the fact that you can, if you're daring, turn off the delete confirmation in Windows Mobile to shave off a step and it's no contest.

Uh... Yes?

Looks like you can only select mails that are in a list next to each other, no control click and the like... And no selective delete like my old Treo...

Try the following :
  • While you're viewing your SMS list, click on the input icon thats on the bottom bar.
  • Change your input style to Keyboard.
  • Now click the Ctrl key there and it should turn dark indicating that its being held down.
  • Click each of the messages you wish to select.

It should work on the Diamond, it does on my Touch Pro.

Blew in Dutty's latest 2.8 RTM-level ROM last night. It's clean and stable, with lots of bugs fixed. The keyboards now work properly. Lots of subtle new features and functions exposed in TF3D ... one I like is the enlarge/reduce text controls in message window -- at last I can enlarge the SMS text to read it without lenses.
Also installed Garmin Mobile XT 5.0.20. Works great. Left the GPS on all night and now the GPS gets a fix in seconds in GMXT, Google Maps and HandyMap.

Still waiting for Leaf to release 1.97 ROM.
