HTC Touch Diamond

that has not happened as i am not receiving any MMS on the unit

When I inserted my MTN sim it could not change the MMS settings. Had to enter everything manually. But when the Vodacom sim was inserted everything was done automatically.

So dunno what's up with MTN.

Ive got a vodacom sim and a virgin sim and it detects all setting automatically. weird that mtn isnt?

How did you enter them?

i was referring to Snormossel seeing as he too is on MTN and had to enter them manually

Sorry didnt see the post.

When the MTN SIM was inserted it tried to do an update but then failed. Got a msg from MTN to say that I must enter the settings manually, which they also sent me, lost a few msg when I loaded a different rom. I then took the card out and put it into my old phone and have the VODA sim in the Diamond now. So I didnt even go through the trouble to enter them. Sorry if the post was a bit misleading. :o
 
My diamond also automatically downloaded my Mtn settings as the phone started up.

Use the connection wizard, select your country and your network and the phone resets with all the correct settings
 
Drops internet connection

Everytime I use internet sharing on my diamond after about 5 min it dissconnects from the net on my pc. Ive also use dial up via bluetooth and it is doing the same thing.. Do someone maybe know of this problem or how to sort it out.
 
i've found with both my tytn and diamond that on mtn the edge/3g connection drops after not being in use for a while. don't know if that is what is affecting you

I'm bidding on a HTC Touch Diamond on BidorBuy. Is this phone really as cool as it looks? What's the normal secondhand price for this phone?

Let me know if he won't and you can buy mine for that price. It's virtually brand new, has the HTC leather pouch, and has never been dropped or scratched, but just not practical for my line of work.

nope mine just drops even if im using it. ive tried to change my rom to cooked to HTC Shipped rom. and it is still doing it
 
I kinda have the opposite problem, my 3G seems to switch itself on when it feels like it....Every so often I check my phone and the 3G/Egde is connected, who the F knows why but it gets very irritating. I have turned the automatic weather updates off so I don't know what else it could be.
