Hey blinky, I have checked Leafs FTP and I only see the test ROM not a shipped ROM - I think you need Hard SPL to install the test ROM. I dont know when they are going to release the official ROM.

I want to install a new rom but I don't want to lose my garmin xt and other apps. I want to make sure that is still on there as it is a mission to install, how can I do this?

I'm not to sure you can backup your installs. but i know you can copy your garmin install folder over to your Internal memory so that you wont loose your settings. But try this link for backup tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705

mmm. very difficult. i went through roms like a baby goes through nappies. but the roms that i enjoy are: Duttys, alpha zero. at this moment i'n using alphazero.

I have tried pretty uch all of them but still can't decide. I found both those quite slow.

Have you tried DIB Diamond?
 
I will be selling my Diamond not to long from now, its 4 months old and in very good condition and includes the HTC dock.
Asking Price +-R3300.

nope. flashing roms becomes like an addiction. you want more better and faster... so i stopped. i went for azor because it is close to the shiiped rom with little or no problems but it is still faster than the shipped version 2
 
I’m using an alphazero ROM. V7 or 8 or something. I find it quite good.

What I have done is keep the cabs on my storage card and just reinstall the cab and picks up existing settings (programs installed on storage card as well).

Cool apps

What apps do you guys use on your diamonds. ive looked aroung and found a couple of nice ones. Pedometer, running tracking meter, lightsaber (fun to play with) and best app for diamond is Garmin Xt
