What details do you need?

HTC TyTN II - R 6500.00 Plus Vat
In the Box:
The device
Battery
Spare Stylus
Sync Cable
Wall Charger
Pouch
Stereo Headset

User manual, Getting Started CD and an application CD.

The TomTom application is supplied in the box. You get one free map of a city .. ie London. you need to purchase maps over and above.
No SA maps are available.
I use Handymap.

The details where to get the deal would be a good start, in addition to things like the conditions of sale.

that is pricey.
TyTN II's are available @ about R 7400.00 locally which is pretty much on par with pricing from the States and the UK.

I see there's been a price drop to R6,500 now.

Edit: I see its the inc vs exl VAT.

That's a good deal Guy, and I see no harm in you offering fellow forumites good deals here - I'm not sure what the forum rules are.
It sounds like a grey import - this is no problem to me.

I'll PM you next time I need something - is it only cell phone equipment you deal in?

My definition of a Grey Import is something that is not supported. This is not the case here.
Anyway ... we deal with anything and everything PDA related. Devices and accessories, software solutions etc.

I use a very reputable photography supplier in the US (B&H Photo) and they list their goods as grey import or US import.
The grey import is what they themselves import verses the US import which is done through the official appointed channels for the specific brand.
They too offer full support for their grey imports - I have no problem with grey imports when guys like B&H Photo and yourself offer the support required.

I'm looking for the best GPS software with SA maps to use with the P3600i - do you have something in this line?

Careful when buying from The Guy, even though he may support the device, I would recommend purchasing from an established company with proven track record. After all, if "the guy" were to disappear tomorrow, then what.

You need to weigh up the pros and cons.

I'd rather take my chances and save R2000+ compared to the rip-off prices of the mainstream suppliers, particularly when these products a super reliable.

You imply that "The Guy" does not have a track record - have you researched his business?

I notice in another thread you invite people to PM you for specials on the iPhone.

Unlike the rest of the Cowboys in this Shot Gun Country we do not run our business like the rest of the fly by night Rip off artists.
We have been in the PDA game for 5 years now. ( for those of you who dont know that is since the Qtek 1010 was released. the worlds first GSM enabled PDA )
As for me disappearing tomorrow, aint gonna happen i get way to much personal satisfaction from being the best in the business.

I am guessing you are posting this on behalf of your own "established company", seeing that you can get iPhones for the forumites ... very subtle dude!

Bought a TyTNH II from Leaf's shop in Fourways (yes, sigh) for R7683.60.

I have two gripes with the device:
1) microSD -- there goes interchangeability with my cameras and laptop (all use SD)
2) the damn proprietary mini-USB+audio port -- bang goes easy connection with standard mini-USB; will now always have to lug an adapter around to charge/connect

I love the performance of this thingie.

the standard USB cable does work don't be fooled by the look of the USB connector it works trust me.
You can get yourself a micro SD card that has a mini and a normal SD card adaptor and a USB adaptor all in one.
for the porn starz that like thier 3.5 mm headsets you can get a USB adaptor for those.
