Bought a TyTNH II from Leaf's shop in Fourways (yes, sigh) for R7683.60.

I have two gripes with the device:
1) microSD -- there goes interchangeability with my cameras and laptop (all use SD)
2) the damn proprietary mini-USB+audio port -- bang goes easy connection with standard mini-USB; will now always have to lug an adapter around to charge/connect

I love the performance of this thingie.

2) the standard mini-USB works for data transfer and charging.

Hi Peeps

I have been doing some research on the TyTN II and it seems it has a few bugs but just wondering if these bugs have been sorted before its release here in SA.

Please note this are problems that users overseas have found

1/ The backlight goes off about 10 seconds after you start a phone call. Therefore you cannot take note after that nor can you respond to a voicemail by tapping a number on this dark screen.
2/ The screen does not respond after about five minutes or more of taking a call and you cannot access the start button.

3. The lock function is temperamental. The screen states that the device is locked, yet the buttons are still active.

4. The touch screen with the stylus is not very responsive

4. The time keeps changing to GMT +1, regardless of how many times I change it back to GMT.

Gonna keep researching and see what other bugs the phone has.

TyTN II SA owner please reply and let us know if these bugs are relevant to the SA handsets or have they been fixed.

The Guy what bugs have you found?
