Well, if you like the Black ROMs, stick with Satin or X (I haven't had any problems with it). Schaps' is nice, but I still prefer the Black range

to all the serial flashers out there .... by now you guys have run through a variety of flavours of cooked ROM's
How has the device stability been. and more or less over what period of time has the particular ROM been used?

dutty simply just took the HTC TOUCH Interface and made his own ROM from it. It has nothing to do with ButtonFLO or TouchFLO. Basically, he took the Touch ROM and cooked it up a bit without the FLO.. It is black, which makes it pretty cool and what I am use it.
The majority of the apps are all new builds, ie: Windows Live Messenger, Task Manager, New Battery Icon, new HTC Home Plug in...

I just went over to this black satin. Its very nice , fast , looks pretty etc.
It just feels like my reception has gone for a ball. alot worse than it was.
ANy ideas / help / fixes??

Nah, shouldn't be the case ... unless you updated the radio rom to 1.51 or the likes ... 1.51 is really crap, 1.50 is ok, but I am back on 1.48 after a day from hell yesterday with people not being able to reach me

I did read somewhere that RADIO has nothing to do with the ROM.
I've downloaded the last 5 RADIO's and I will post my opinion in the next week or so on what is the best one (on the Vodacome network). I'd appreciate others provide their input aswell so we can see which RADIO is the best.

I am using 1.48.00.00 ... the 1.48.00.10 radio had terrible reception, and dropped calls left right and centre
EDIT: I lie!! The two bad ones are 1.51 and 1.47.30.10. I am running 1.48.00.10 and seems to be the best for me

Went to iMate to buy myself a new Stylus! Please tell me how on earth is that piece of crappy plastic worth R80!?!?!?! What a rip-off. The one dude in their had the new Ultimate 7150 (I think). Played around with it a bit - phone felt like plastic. It's even bigger than the Hermes device and was running ridiculously slow! I wouldn't recommend anyone getting it. Stick with HTC

Yeah i agree that flash was crap, removed it after a day of use. No ROM has TouchFLO or ButtonFLO built in.
I thought Touch-I did, but it doesn't. The TouchFlo (Alpha).cab is one of the cabs in the 'Addons' folder, but doesn't seem to work. The screen just remains black when the app is loaded.
Just did a search for ButtonFLO and couldn't find the cab. It's somewhere on xda, i just can't seem to find it!
I thought Touch-I did, but it doesn't. The TouchFlo (Alpha).cab is one of the cabs in the 'Addons' folder, but doesn't seem to work. The screen just remains black when the app is loaded.
Just did a search for ButtonFLO and couldn't find the cab. It's somewhere on xda, i just can't seem to find it!

I've been using the official WM6 off the europe htc website since august and I must say that I am not impressed. The new features are really cool, but the rom has a lot of problems:
1. Phone randomly switches from ring to vibrate
2. Sometimes it struggles to make phone calls (i.e. dial, here a ding ding ding and the phone app closes, or just says "call ended" for no apparent reason)
3. Receiving a call while on another call is pretty much impossible. It seems too slow to process commands like "put old call on hold, pick up new call". By the time the phone responds the new caller has hung up.
4. Phone randomly loses signal (goes from full to zero to full in less than a second)
5. I cannot receive a call while using HSDPA via a usb cable (all calls go to voicemail)
6. The keyboard stops working at random intervals, normally while typing an sms but it has happened while using IE as well.
7. Battery life is lower than with WM5 AKU 3
I have finally reached the limit of my patience (on the verge of downgrading to WM5, as I had none of the above problems while on WM5 AKU 3). Anyone know if Leaf are still bringing out a WM6 rom? Which cooked rom would you guys suggest should I lean towards that direction?

If i were you I'd wait another week or so and wait for JJ to release his final Black X ROM. Which can be found here:
