HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

I don't worry about getting a phone with 3G or HSDPA. Well, at least not untill MTN pull their fingers and give me some 3G/HSDPA coverage.

MTN_Data_Dude off to fix the network for Piesang

atleast my chicken mayo sandwich is keeping me happy, for now! :D

My Jasjar is now almost 12 months old. First 3 months was excellent, after that the phone was more like a brick than anything else.

Battery goes dead even when it is at 50%. The main earpiece speaker is dead. Luckily the speaker on the inside of the phone still works so I can still make calls, that is if I have reception.

It's a nice "phone" if you only use it for browsing the internet. That's all I use mine for. I will think twice before I get the i-Mate Jasjam or any other i-Mate model.

Piesang, the jasjar is a BRICK! 8) I think/hope the jasjam is more of a phone than a brick in hand. I held the jamin and the k-jam already, and i like them! The jarjar was tooo big.

MTNDD, any update on when the TyTN/JASJAM would be availible? 8) Or anyone else?

Hi Guys

MTNDD is away for the rest of the week due to a Family emergency.
He sent me an e-mail from his blackberry regarding the above.

The above phone has not yet been approved by the network.
Testing is still being done.

I'd love to know what tests these technicial guys do at the networks to approve phones. I've had my TyTn for about a month now (imported it from America) and it works perfectly on MTN and VodaCom, except I guess for one problem in that VodaCom voicemail notifications don't come through, but this also happens on Vodafone overseas, so it's some firmware issue.
